Fallhead is the name of the townland, opposite Galgorm Resort and Spa, in which this property is located. This relatively new property to the holiday rental market was lovingly designed and constructed by the owners of Postcard Property Lets. Many hours were spent in the planning to create a home full of comfort and French charm. Materials were chosen to add character such as the old terracotta tiles sourced in Marseille, France. The stone fireplace provides the focal point of the living room with its large wood burning stove. A local craftsman built the kitchen, with another making the wooden sash windows.
A taste of the French life is evident in this property, not least of all with the little wine cellar that welcomes a fresh supply of primarily Cote du Rhone wine at the end of each summer. Furniture and accessories have been acquired throughout the years from many places visited worldwide by the owners and, as a result, the property offers a blend of new and old that sit well in the intended theme that evidently is, first and foremost, a family home.
The house has a large bedroom ensuite on the ground floor with two other bedrooms on the first floor. There is a bathroom with toilet, bath and shower integrated and a separate shower in the laundry room, also on the first floor. The living room, dining and kitchen are integrated, perfect for social occasions. There is a separate relaxing area with wonderful countryside views in the sunroom. Alfresco dining is an option, weather permitting, at the large outdoor dining tables with six comfortable chairs.
Lonely Planet has declared that Belfast and the Causeway Coast are the number one regions in the world to visit in 2018 and this peaceful, countryside location is close to road and rail infrastructure and the perfect base for exploring each of these local destinations.
As with other areas of the house, the downstairs bedroom is spacious with a super king sized bed. It has an ensuite wet room and is, therefore, perfect for someone with slight mobility problems. The other two bedrooms are upstairs accessed via the turret leading out of the living area. In one bedroom there are twin beds that can be made into a super king sized bed and the other a king sized bed. There is a walk-in wardroom for clothes storage.
Location: The property is conveniently placed within one hour travel to and from our local airports, Belfast International, Belfast City (George Best) and City of Derry. Sea ports, Larne and Belfast. Dublin Airport is a comfortable car journey of only two hours.
Cullybackey or Ballymena Railway Stations are both a few minutes’ drive from the house. Local taxis are available.
